Tooth Tattoos for Identification, Art, or Fun
The design on your teeth is limited only by your imagination.
Our first request for a dental tattoo was by an airline stewardess in about 1990. She requested that her initials be engraved on her crown, so that her body could be easily identified if the plane crashed. We put her initials on her molar and she was thrilled. Fortunately, her plane never went down, so her crown was never used for dental identification. Westbrook Dental Studio has been making distinctive crowns and bridges ever since.
Why Get a Tooth Tattoo
Anyone can get a tooth tattoo on their crown, bridge, or dental implant. Although it could be on any tooth,
usually the tooth tattoo is on one of the back teeth.
Since it can only be seen if you show it to someone, it's a way to get a tattoo without getting into trouble at work.
The tattoo stays on your tooth permanently if you want it to be there, but if you want to get rid of the tooth tattoo, your dentist
can grind it off in a matter of minutes.
Ideas for tooth tattoos:

- Dental Identification - initials or a special character
- Club or Team Membership - there's a local golf group and all the members have the same artwork on their crowns
- Love (e.g. John loves Mary - initials fit better on the tooth.)
- Team Support - college or pro team logos
- Favorite Characters (e.g. Elvis or cartoon caracters)
- Zodiac Symbols
- Green Letters (Sorority or Fraternity)
- Chinese Characters
- Any Tooth Art you design
